Statement I began to paint as a self-taught artist. Immediately I found a style that uses forms only to individuate the subject painted, and colors to communicate feelings, through the alternation between hot and cold shades. Colored flashes and drops often cross my artworks, which can be meant as a rain that flows on a window where the observers are looking out to the scene, or tears that fall from their own eyes. So the canvas substitutes the look, it absorbs the feelings and drives a deeper connection. Art for me is a way to escape from reality through all those glimpses that life can give us thanks to shades, feelings and imagination.
